The increasing cooperation between China and the French-speaking countries and regions, FOS (French
on specific objective) becomes very demanding. By analyzing research and teaching of FOS at home and
abroad, the paper focuses on the teaching of Translation in Petroleum French at China University of Petroleum (East China). Based on training talents with three kinds of expertise, the paper concludes the
need of teaching in Petroleum French translation and the reason of research. In the guidance of the European FOS theory, it constructs a model of petroleum French translation teaching, with the students
and teaching objectives, curriculum, teaching methods, teaching environment and teaching evaluation.
In the end of the paper, translation teaching achievements prove that this model is successful. Also, it
points out the existing problems and puts forward some solutions in order that French translation teaching will become more and more mature. |
